Artist Statement

This work is a cinematic trailer like those seen in video games and movies created to show industry standard digital work. It is a video created and rendered in various software, Unreal Engine 5, Blender, and Autodesks Mudbox. Various aspects are created in one program and imported it other specialized programs for more specific tasks. After everything is created, it is imported into Unreal Engine 5 to be compiled and rendered. The story it depicts is a small part of a Christian themed story like Tolkien and C.S. Lewis’ stories. The story and imagery I chose was because I had been developing a story that serves as my ministry. With how many teenagers play video games, it would be a great place to start with a ministry. If the story in the game is itself a ministry, then it will go a long way if the game is popular to countering all the anti-Christian games that breed the same hostile sentiment in teenagers. At the end of the day, I cannot make the viewer feel anything, but what emotion should be evoked is excitement and anticipation.
