Artist Statement
My photography captures the heartbeat of track and field—the fleeting moments where effort, emotion, and movement collide. Each image is an attempt to pause time, preserving the raw intensity of a race, the grace of a leap, or the stillness of an athlete’s focus.
Track and field doesn’t wait for the perfect shot; it’s my job to anticipate it. Whether it’s tracking the arc of a javelin in flight or the exact second a runner breaks through the finish line, my
process is about being in tune with the rhythm of the sport. Light, angles, and timing all come together in a split second to create something that feels alive.
But it’s not just about the action—it’s about the human stories embedded in every frame. The joy, frustration, and sheer grit that make track and field so universal are what drive me to press
the shutter. I aim to show the athlete’s journey, to highlight the details that viewers might otherwise miss: a clenched fist, a fleeting smile, a shared glance between teammates.
My work seeks to elevate the sport, revealing its beauty and humanity. Each photograph is an invitation to feel the energy of the competition and connect with the athletes who pour out their hearts.
