God’s purpose for us to be in relationship with Him and each other. If you are like me, you don’t often take time to stop and thoroughly appreciate special moments with those we love. Remembering a moment in time, cherishing an expression, and absorbing a face filled with joy are ours for the taking. Art gives us an opportunity to go back and recall how an experience made us feel.
In this piece I tried to capture a moment of childhood that is all too fleeting, the child-like joy of being on a boat on a warm summer day experiencing “the best day ever”. Through his warm, expressive eyes and sweet, innocent smile I hope that you can feel Presley’s contentment and wonder.
